Our Story
Every community has potential. Every student has a voice. Every foundation has the resources. The 100 Points Project connects all, one county at a time.
The Challenge
Many students aspire to make a difference but lack the tools, support or platforms necessary to transform their ideas into action.
Simultaneously, numerous small, local nonprofits are undertaking powerful work that frequently goes unnoticed or underfunded.
In rural and underserved areas of North Carolina, the gap between passion and access is significant.
Our Response
The 100 Points Project brings together:
- A diverse team of students drawn from communities across North Carolina.
- One local nonprofit, selected by each student
- One presentation to a philanthropic foundation by each student
Civic education, youth development and community building are wrapped into one transformational experience.
Why it matters
- For Students: They gain presentation skills, nonprofit exposure and confidence in their ability to lead.
- For Nonprofits: They receive advocacy, visibility, and in many cases, financial support from a student-led proposal.
- For Foundations: They connect directly to communities and discover authentic, on-the-ground opportunities to give.
The Bigger Picture
This project isn't just about one student or one nonprofit – it's about cultivating a new generation of informed, engaged citizens who know how to lead with empathy, knowledge and courage.
